Senator Grisanti: Ban Fracking Now

Coming up tommorrow citizens will gather outside of New York State Senator Mark Grisanti’s Buffalo office to let him know how they feel about his stance (or non-stance) on the issue of hydrofracking.

“Senator Mark Grisanti, chair of the Senate Environmental Conservation Committee, is siding with influential oil and gas companies by refusing to co-sponsor and bring SB4220 up for a vote, a bill which could ban fracking in New York. Senator Grisanti has not stepped up to …protect the people he represents! Senate session closes on June 21st, and without Grisanti standing in defense of NY’s water, the DEC could push forward with drilling this year.On Tuesday June 12th, citizens will urge Senator Grisanti to support a ban on fracking in NY. The community will come together to demand action against dirty drilling by presenting the senator with 1,500 petition signatures and 100 letters from local organizations and businesses to ban fracking now! Join us for this press conference and rally at 1pm outside of Senator Grisanti’s office at 65 Court St. Buffalo, NY.Tell our senator: New Yorkers deserve better! It’s time to represent our interests and Ban Fracking Now!”
