“Fracking is a toxic drilling technique that could soon invade New York, putting our water, air, and land at risk! In Western New York volunteers are needed to help reach as many people as possible in order to educate and engage the community around this important and timely issue. Through collecting petition signatures, we will also demonstrate to our legislators that area residents support a ban on fracking! Canvassing is an important part of any successful campaign, and it is the best way to spread ideas for change. But we can’t do it without YOU. Will you join us for this Western New York canvass day?
Now that the weather is getting nicer, we have the opportunity to turn the tide in this fight against fracking! The day will begin with a light breakfast as we go over canvassing techniques and map out our route. Then, using carpools, we will head out into the field for two hours. No previous canvassing experience is necessary and all are welcome!
