Scenes from “Weatherization, Not Fracking Rally” Pt. 2 (July 2012)

Another clip from last Wednesday’s picket outside of National Fuel Gas Headquarters. Sarah Buckley of the town of Wales NY speaks on National Fuel’s lawsuit against that town. The town is being sued for having the nerve to stand up against hydrofracking. We also find out that Haliburton is the designated contractor for National Fuel in the town of Wales.

Members of the National Fuel Accountability Coalition (NFAC) participated in the third of four pickets aimed at National Fuel Gas (NFG), on Tuesday, July 10. Throughout the month of July the NFAC will visit NFG headquarters one day each week, with hopes of finally getting a meeting with National Fuel CEO David Smith.

For years, members of the community-based coalition have been trying to get a meeting with Smith to discuss ways the gas company can help solve issues surrounding energy efficiency and low-income weatherization programs.
