I am a home performance contractor. Any money from National fuel should go to nyserda to be used as grants to fix older homes of home owners that are receiving fuel from National fuel gas. For homes that are rented the land lord should be forced to upgrade that home using the “Green Jobs Green New York program. This is not just a Buffalo problem this is also happening in rural housing. The homes I work on I can get more than 50% improvement, dependent on the home. $3500 mentioned in the video will not do much for most homes. For best results the homes should be worked on through the Green Jobs Green New York program by Building Performance Institute certified examinors.
